Website Creations

At Limelite Online, we do websites and a lot of things related to the world of the web and the internet.

CSS/XHTML and W3C Web Design

Our websites are coded using the lastest XHTML and CSS techniques. All website pages are strictly validated on the W3C, which means that our code is 100% valid and works the same on all website browsers.

PHP and ASP Website Development

Dynamic websites requires the use of a database to drive the website. The code that communicates with the database, is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) or ASP (Active Server Pages). The use of such programming, ensures your website is able to do and offer far more than just a static website.

Website Design

All website designs are chosen and approved by the client, before developement of the website begins. The website template and company logo are developed to fit in with the overall image of the company, resulting in a top quality product that represents the client in a professional view.

Websites for your business

Choosing the right type of website for your business can be a tricky decision.
You need to consider various factors such as maintaining the website, search engine
optimization (SEO), whether the website will still be suitable for you in 5 years time.

Here are 6 different types of websites, to help you decide:

1. Static Website

A static website is a website in it's most simplest form. There is no server-side
processing, which means the content remains constant, providing little interactivity. It
can also be time consuming to update, as changes need to be implemented on each page.

2. Micro Website

A Micro website (generally 1-5 pages) is part of the Static website family. If you have a
small business, with a limited budget and content, micro websites are an excellent choice
to make a good impact. Secondly, it can be very useful in promoting a new product or a
sub-division of a business.

3. Dynamic Website

Dynamic websites rely on server-side processing and a database to deliver it's content to
the viewer. A dynamic website is used to display data from search records, allows users to
sort through data and allows access to restricted parts of a website.

4. Content Management Website

This type of website is an extension of the Dynamic website. It is particularly useful for
large content driven websites. It allows the owner access to a password protected
interface, where the user can easily add, edit and remove content from the website pages.

5. E-Commerce Website

A E-Commerce website has the ability to handle and process financial transactions. This
includes features such as shopping carts, checkout pages, secure online payment facilities.

6. Flash Website

Flash websites are usually popular with Entertainment, because it provides stunning
visuals, sound clips and complex animations. The downside of flash is that it is difficult
to carry out search engine optimization (SEO) and it becomes difficult to maintain.
